Since he joined ACS in 1977, Keinath’s role in the organization has been a tremendous one. He has held multiple positions within ACS, including Editor of the Midland Chemist, Co-chairman of the Awards Committee and Midland Section ACS 100th Anniversary Planning Committee. He has a B.S. in Chemistry and Physics, M.S. in Polymer Science, Ph.D in Chemistry as well as an M.B.A in General Business and an M.A. in Education. Steve Keinath retired in 2015 from Michigan Molecular Institute (MMI) after 37 years, but that sure hasn’t slowed him down! Keinath is still very involved in non-profit organization leadership, technical editing, and community service.
